Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups roasted rava/suji


  • 1 nos medium onion, chopped finely


  • 1 nos green chilly, chopped


  • 1 tsp chana dal


  • 1/2 tbsp urad dal white


  • 2 nos medium carrot grated


  • 1/2 inch ginger grated


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1/2 tsp sambar masala


  • 2 cups water


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 7-8 nos cashewnuts broken into 4 pcs


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp lemon juice


  • 1 tbsp cilantro leaves chopped


  • 1 tsp salt or as required

Directions

  • In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, add chana, urad dal and cashews
  • Fry till they become golden in colour.
  • Add onions , grated carrot, chillies, ginger, curry leaves and fry till they become transparent.
  • Fry for a minute and add water.
  • When the water comes to a boil, lower the flame and add semolina and salt to it.Keep on stirring.
  • If the mixture looks dry, then add some more water.simmer for 2 -3 minutes
  • Add the sambar masala, and garam masala
  • Sprinkle lemon juice
  • Do the plating, garnish with carrot, cilantro and serve hot wid coconut or green chutney
